Question - WHAT IS THE BIGGEST THING MADE BY HUMANS?
Answer - A swirling mess of plastic twice the size of France
Next time you are at the beach see how many pieces of plastic you spot. Can you find any samll round plastic beads? They are used to make plastic moulds and kill thousands of different marine life each year.

COAST
In this half term we will be studying topics connected to the coast.
- Can you solve a murder mystery using sources?
- What tourist features would you promote on our coastline?
- Can you summarise the life of a viking raider?
- Can you debate an issue about whether we should pay for sewage treatment?
- Which is the most important historical ship to set sail in our waters?
Two challenges for you bloggers:
a) This is Porthcurno - my favourite beach in Cornwall. When the tide is out you can walk all the way to Logan Rock. Porthcurno was once the communication centre of the UK. WHICH is you favourite beach and why?
b) Can you find out what the largest human made object in the world is? I will post the answer on this blog next week.
Don't forget to write your name when you leave a comment.
Have a great half term.
